🧑‍🚀 Tomorrow Already Knows

Daily writing prompt
If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

August 5, 2026 – 9:16 a.m.

Woke up late…

I chose to wake up late.

The alarm went off…

and I said,

“Fuck that.”

Bam.

Off.

If dreaming could be a time machine…

how awesome would that be?

To be driving home at dusk…

thinking about Stranger Things

drinking some hot chocolate…

then laying down and deciding,

“Tonight… I’m going back.”

Back to the days before technology.

Back to the Wild West.

Waking up to the sound of a rooster…

and a horse galloping outside my window.

Haha…

Just imagining.

I am sitting here now…

in my small studio…

relaxing a bit.

It’s been a while since I let myself do that.

They say there are different versions of us.

Yesterday’s version.

Today’s version.

Tomorrow’s version.

I started wondering…

what if tomorrow could send a message back to today?

Maybe it would simply say…

“I’m doing my best…

because you did your worst…

and dealt with it.

Thank you.”

Now…

I’m off to brew some coffee.

Enjoy your present.

Question

If tomorrow could send you one sentence today… what do you hope it would say?
