🕯️ Thank You, From a Panda Express in Watts

At 4:35 p.m., I was sitting outside a Panda Express in Watts.

The sunlight was soft, and there was a cool breeze.

While eating my food inside my car, I thought—as I always do.

Thank you.

I exist, and I do not know why. But to exist is magic.

I thought about the Lord.

Not as a bearded man sitting somewhere in the clouds, but as the source that gave me breath, eyes to see, feelings to feel, and people to encounter and love.

There are individuals all around me.

When I was younger, I did not appreciate people. But as time has progressed, and as I have dealt with the pain of loneliness, loneliness has taught me to say thank you.

It has slowed me down enough to see.

To see people.

Lately, I have been experiencing a high level of emotion.

Emotion is opening the cavern of my soul.

To observe people.

To talk to people.

To have someone take the time to talk to me.

Does it mean anything?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

But I want to love more.

Not only a girlfriend or a wife. I want to love people—to notice them, to experience them, and to appreciate that they were here with me.

People make me appreciate creation.

Lord, thank you.

Enjoy your cup of coffee. ☕
