When did you begin becoming yourself instead of who you thought you were supposed to be?
July 7, 2026
First, good morning.
Just ate some dry roasted peanuts.
Damn, I’m addicted.
Not quite breakfast.
But it goes well with my brewed coffee.
Since 2015, I’ve woken every night at almost every hour of the night. Insomnia, some would say.
I just called it a pain in the ass.
“The beginning is the end and the end is the beginning.”
My father had a horrible upbringing, punctuated with polio due to ignorance by his parents. He never received accountability or an apology.
This he has carried.
Me—on a much smaller scale—I was labeled, sentenced, and judged.
We all are.
I wanted to be an artist.
Still do.
But, I am an artist.
I might never be the version I wanted.
But…
It will be God’s will.
Enjoy every day because you are one of one.
Hello, world.
Question
What label have you carried the longest, and has it truly belonged to you?
