“Give Me Your Hand”

What do you love now, that you hated when you were younger?

July 8, 2026 – 9:29 a.m.

Morning.

Slept a little longer than normal.

Went to bed around 2 in the morning.

I was drawing.

I was creating.

Which is kind of crazy because I normally don’t stay up that late drawing, but lately I’ve been doing it more often.

I’m trying to get away from procrastination.

While I was asleep, I could hear my furball munching away on his cat food.

As a small studio… well, you can’t avoid hearing him walking around, eating, or getting into something.

😂

On November 17, 2025, I had a fever, so I went to the doctor thinking I was just going to get some medication.

Instead…

I got told,

“Man… you’re fat.”

😂

I looked at him and thought,

“What do you mean?”

He said,

“Roberto, you weigh 206 pounds, and you’re 5’7”. You should probably be around 160 to 165.”

Damn.

So I asked him,

“What do I do?”

He said,

“Give me your hand.”

I held it out.

He looked at it and said,

“Whatever fits in your hand… that’s what you eat.”

Then he gave me the rules.

White meat.

Red meat.

Vegetables.

Water.

No juice.

No bread.

No soda.

No fried food.

No donuts.

I remember thinking,

“Oh… shit.”

😂

Normally I would’ve said,

“Hell no. Eating is living.”

But…

I wasn’t really living right.

So I listened.

Today, I’m around 170 pounds.

Not perfect.

Still learning.

But healthier than I was.

Sometimes the things we resist the most end up becoming the things that change our lives.

Well…

Hello, world.

Have an incredible day.

Question

What’s one piece of advice you resisted at first but eventually realized changed your life?
