I woke up at 6 this morning like always.
But today felt different.
Not motivation.
Energy.
Quiet energy.
The kind that doesn’t scream at you to change your life overnight. It just nudges you forward.
This past week I think I finally stepped out of rumination a little bit.
These writings I’ve been doing… they’re showing me things about myself that I never fully saw before.
The coffee just finished brewing.
I’ll drink it in a bit.
I’ve already been out doing deliveries this morning. Los Angeles waking up slowly while I drive from spot to spot.
The funny thing is, the prompt says to go on a walk and notice something.
But I walk every day.
Maybe my whole life lately has been one long observational walk.
Sometimes the smallest things stay with you the most.
My sister’s pit bull, Scooby, was outside playing with an empty water bottle.
Chewing it.
Throwing it around.
Destroying it like it was the greatest thing on Earth.
Simple joy.
And strangely enough, it made me happy seeing him happy.
Maybe because joy feels contagious when it’s real.
Or maybe because animals don’t overthink themselves into sadness the way humans do.
I don’t know.
But for a small moment this morning, the world felt lighter.
