I complain the most about certain patterns I see around South Central—especially how loud and disrespectful people can be over small, insignificant things.
You see it on the road too: people cutting you off, flipping you off, speeding up so you can’t merge even when there’s plenty of space. It’s like everyone is in a rush to prove something.
And then there’s the entitlement side of it. People don’t ask, “Do you have a dollar?” They say, “Give me a dollar.” Like it’s owed. I remember once I gave a homeless woman 50 cents and she handed it back because she said she needed a dollar. That moment stuck with me—not because I’m above anyone, but because it shows the mindset: wanting more, while rejecting what’s offered.
What really gets under my skin is watching people complain that life is hard while refusing to take accountability. You’ll see people posted up outside liquor stores, drinking all day, asking for money for more beer, then turning around and saying the system is the reason their life sucks.
To me, the biggest issue is this loop: people start believing an easy life is a better life… and then they’re shocked when they get older and realize it was always an illusion.
There is no easy life.
You work hard to live free — not barely work and hope freedom shows up anyway.
