Negative thinking. Old programming.
When bad things happen, my brain wants to run the same script: everything’s gonna fall apart. But I’m learning that things aren’t always going to be what they used to be—and that doesn’t mean it’s over. It means you adjust. And eventually things get better if you put in effort.
So what I’m practicing now is this:
More effort in doing.
Less effort thinking about bad things I can’t control.
Because what defines you is the effort. Not the negative thoughts. Not the bad circumstances. Not what other people say about you.
Question: What’s one “old script” you’re tired of running?
