The Frame of the Day

Daily writing prompt
When are you most happy?

I’m happiest when I’m creative — and lately it’s been writing. Writing feels like taking my life and turning it into something I can hold. I can see the frame of the day. And the crazy part is: I don’t even draw that frame on purpose. It gets drawn organically by the people I love, by me, by the ones I pass and never speak to — the ones I might never know, and the ones I might know one day.

Then there’s drawing. Right now I’m not chasing perfection — I’m chasing rhythm. Playing with line. Learning negative space and positive space. Learning what shapes mean to me when I’m composing an illustration. It’s not just “art.” It’s me understanding my own interpretation of the world.

All of it with hot black coffee — whole bean, ground fresh. That part makes me laugh… but it’s true. That’s when I feel the most like myself.

Question: When do you feel most like yourself?
