📼🗣️ Autoplay

Today, I worked, as I basically do all seven days.

But I have been trying something new: do my best and stop worrying.

Not easy.

My left calf is in a bit of pain after jumping rope for about thirty minutes.

Father…

How could I have failed so much?

A dialogue that sometimes runs.

It’s one of many voices that seem to be on autoplay, playing in sequence.

Things people said.
Things I accepted.
Things I began repeating to myself.

I’ve often heard life doesn’t have meaning. It’s something humans invented to have something to do, to pass time.

Tik tok. Tik tok…

Time passes.
The voices repeat.

Open sesame…

Who do you want to be, son?

So many people have labeled you, and you have accepted those labels willingly, without knowing you were doing so.

I’ve heard those voices for so long.

Tonight, I wanted to hear my own.

Today, I chose something new.

Tonight, I chose Roberto’s voice.

Enjoy your cup of coffee. ☕
