“šŸŽø What Does Roberto Want Now?Ā “

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?

July 29, 2026 – 6:19 p.m.

Watching Desperado with Antonio Banderas while finally being able to sit down.

It has been a hot one today in L.A.

Feet on my ottoman…

shoes still on…

eyes a bit drowsy…

while my furball Simba sits in the window, feeling the bass from my sound system as Antonio shoots his guns.

That is a way for me to unwind.

I worry…

worry…

worry.

I worried about being an unhappy person because I felt like I could never win.

So I decided…

it’s okay.

Let’s take a few shots…

not with a gun…

but maybe enough shots at life.

Enough of worrying.

So…

what does Roberto want now?

He wants to be the Desperado with his guitar…

playing it…

drinking his white tequila…

while the mariachi plays.

Maybe that’s what movies have always been for me.

Not an escape from life…

but a reminder that, for a couple of hours…

I get to live someone else’s dream…

before coming back to mine.

Enjoy your cup of coffee.

  1. “Taking a shot at life instead of endlessly worrying about it—such a grounded, honest reminder to step into our own story.”
