Good morning.
It’s always about trying to keep yourself accountable.
I slept better, even though I didn’t go to bed until 1:30 a.m.
Today should be another hot day.
Back in 2015, I decided to go back to school.
The goal wasn’t just to earn a degree.
The goal was to stop listening to a thought that had been planted in me years earlier by a high school student counselor:
“School might not be for you.”
Try.
Try.
Try.
Because your life depends on it.
You don’t quit.
You can cry.
I did.
You can think about quitting.
I did.
But you don’t quit.
In 2022, I graduated with honors.
To get there, I had to make up a whole lot of F’s from previous community colleges.
Sometimes…
it’s okay not to listen to people who label you without taking the time to understand you.
Question
Has there ever been a label someone placed on you that you eventually proved wrong—not to them, but to yourself?
