One morning, every shadow in the world refuses to follow its owner. Where does yours go?

Dark to light.
Light to dark.
Every day is different for all of us.
Different lives.
Problems.
Experiences.
I just came from Jamba Juice.
Bought me a waffle bowl with blueberries, strawberries, and a drizzle of honey.
Staring through the glass toward the parking lot, I noticed the blue sky split by the trees, their leaves casting moving shadows onto the pavement.
I would meet Robbie today.
“He… constantly complains… about his life… and the lack of it.
I am tired of… Roberto’s words… about his… life.
So…
Let’s have fun.”
A voice… his voice.
Blackness…
Talking back to me.
I would be startled.
But I’d also want to inquire.
“What do I call you?”
“Robbie.
You can call me Robbie.
It sounds more fun.”
“Robbie?”
“Yes, Roberto.”
“Let’s sit, please.”
“OK, Robbie.”
You’d think a long conversation would be happening.
Yes…
And no.
You only have so much time in the day before darkness comes.
“I’ve seen you since your first breath into this world.
I want you to know…
Your shadow is still tied to you… in one way.
I… am still tied to you.
It seems like you are the only one who can hear me.
I… now move.
I am here.
And always have been.
Earlier today…
I ran freely through walls.
Cars.
Humans.
Jumped off buildings.
And it was fun.
Fun.
You are limited.
But you can still have fun.
Don’t be so serious all the time.
Oh…
Before I… forget…
I love the smell of your hot coffee in the morning.”
Maybe talking to my shadow would be the most alive I’d ever be.
Acknowledging your shadow might be fun.
Light greeting our darkness.
Robbie… would begin to dance.
“I’d… love to be you, Roberto.”
Question
If your shadow could speak for seven minutes… what would it want you to hear?
