“What If?”

Daily writing prompt
What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?

June 22, 2026 — 8:51 a.m.

My mother’s first Monday in Mexico City in about a year begins today.

Midnight flight Sunday.

Vacuum once again.

I have it on as ambience noise.

I am odd. I know.

Coffee brewing.

I once heard that sometimes we are too logical.

Sometimes it’s okay to go off-road and follow your inner antenna.

I have been in loan mayhem for a while.

Never thought I could get help.

One day, a YouTube video popped up:

“If your loan is crazy, you can actually hire a lawyer.”

Say what?

Lol.

Off I went.

Long story short:

Yeah.

A lawyer can help.

But there are so many steps in between that you don’t know until you know.

Suffice it to say:

Yes.

I could get help.

I never thought of others helping me resolve issues.

I always thought:

What if it doesn’t work?

What if it’s impossible?

What if I’m stuck?

But I rarely asked:

What if it does work?

Funny.

The thing that changed my life wasn’t certainty.

It was a question.

What if?
