📓 May 13, 2026 — 9:05 a.m.
Head resting back in the chair.
Eyes closed.
Tired.
Simba threw up around 1:30 in the morning.
I ended up driving around late at night.
Went to Starbucks.
Came home around 4:30 a.m.
Just trying to relieve stress.
I guess everybody has their way of doing that.
That was mine.
Phrase that annoys me?
“Hopefully I get lucky.”
Where I live, there’s always lines of people buying lottery tickets.
Liquor stores packed.
Everybody hoping this is the ticket that changes everything.
And honestly…
that phrase bothers me.
Not because I judge people.
Life is hard.
I understand wanting a way out.
But I think what bothers me is the feeling underneath it.
Waiting for something outside yourself to save you.
Because little by little…
I’ve started learning something different.
You probably build your way out.
Slowly.
Painfully.
Piece by piece.
Not through one lucky ticket.
At least…
that’s what I’m trying to believe now.

Do you believe life changes more through luck… or through small repeated actions?
