I’ve learned to trust my instincts.
Before, I didn’t — because I was always staring at the pessimism of my decisions, at the bad outcomes, at my insecurities, at the impossibility of anything positive happening for me. It was my programming — my loop — my consciousness ruling over my subconscious, the subconscious connected to the source.
Now I trust it more.
Not because I’ve perfected it, but because I’ve accepted defeat, age, loss, features, failure, and never winning. I’ve accepted that maybe I won’t win.
But not in a depressive way.
In a freeing way.
If everything could go wrong, then everything could also go right. And that thought makes me smile. Because it means I can relax and just say, “OK, well, let me try it. Who knows?”
More at-bats.
Ha.
