“šŸ„‡ Nothing Lasts ForeverĀ “

Daily writing prompt
What’s a quote that perfectly describes your outlook on life?

July 27, 2026 – 7:53 p.m.

Today is one of the first days I can remember…

me not looking to self-sabotage because of uncomfortable, defeating thoughts.

Why?

Possibly because I am learning that control…

comes from learning to lose it.

Nothing is as it seems…

and nothing will be…

by force.

Like the Joker said,

ā€œIt’s not about money… it’s about sending a message. Everything burns!ā€

Why did that line bring me to a halt?

Well…

through my viewfinder…

I interpreted it differently.

Nothing lasts forever.

Not the good.

Not the bad.

So why force myself into fear because I cannot get what I want…

when I want…

because I want?

Instead…

okay…

I see.

I’m going to feel a lot of feelings during my lifetime.

Some good.

Some bad.

But none of them will last.

Maybe…

there’s freedom in that.

Anyway…

what does a man who sells plastic bags in South Central Los Angeles know?

šŸ˜‚

Smile when you wake up…

because that moment won’t last forever either.

Enjoy your cup of coffee.

Question for the reader

Have you ever found freedom in realizing that neither the good nor the bad lasts forever?
