“🌙 Late-Night Destinations”

Daily writing prompt
What are your top 10 travel destinations?

July 26, 2026 – 1:46 a.m.

It’s another late night for me.

No going out tonight…

just hanging out with my younger brother, who’s visiting from Mexico.

We ended up taking one of those public e-bikes to McDonald’s for a vanilla ice cream.

😂

There’s something funny about going through the drive-thru…

on a bicycle.

A cool breeze.

A quiet night.

Simple.

Now I’m back home…

thinking about places I’d like to see one day.

My first destination is the only one I’ve ever been to.

Cancún.

Blue skies.

Crystal-clear water.

People from all over the world.

The second place has been on my mind since I was young.

Italy.

Partly because I’m a huge Leonardo da Vinci fan.

Partly because I imagine walking through streets surrounded by art and history.

Even the Sistine Chapel.

At least in my imagination…

it feels like one of those places you have to experience in person.

Then…

Russia.

Cold as hell…

from what I’ve seen.

😂

But I’m curious.

The people seem resilient.

Proud.

I’d love to meet them and see what life there is really like.

Then…

Scotland.

I loved Braveheart.

I know that’s probably not the best reason to visit…

but it’s good enough for me.

😂

Jerusalem.

A place I’ve been curious about for a long time.

The history alone makes me want to walk its streets.

Brazil.

Jiu-jitsu…

the beaches…

and the culture.

Damn.

And finally…

I’d love to take a road trip across the United States.

I’ve spent most of my life here…

yet there are so many places I’ve never seen.

Sometimes I think the greatest adventure isn’t rushing from place to place…

it’s taking your time.

Seeing what you’ve never seen before.

Well…

it’s time for bed.

To those already awake…

good morning.

Let’s enjoy our day.

Some of us beneath the sun…

others beneath the moon…

all at the same time.

Question

If you could wake up anywhere in the world tomorrow morning, where would it be… and why?
