”I Visited”

Daily writing prompt
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

June 28, 2026 — 8:56 a.m.

Woke today at 2:30 a.m.

My orange furball threw up.

Usually, tailspin cometh…

But…

I chose to clean up and then go for a long drive.

I’ve felt the cold touch of fear down my back.

The warmth wrapped around my body.

Oh, depression…

There you are, embracing me.

Driving.

Windows open.

Thick black skies.

And me.

“SOS (Message in a Bottle)” by The Police is playing in my ears now.

The vacuum is doing its thing, playing buddy and drowning out the outside for a bit.

Today I am even more tired.

😂

Drove back at 5:00 a.m.

I’ve discovered the terrain of my mind to be scary in the past…

But…

It’s okay.

I visited.

I understood.

Now…

A new breeze.

The warmth of a beautiful beach.

Cancún.

Playa Bonita.
