Good morning to the parts of the world I haven’t seen and might never see.
Sleep.
Oh, that is tricky for me.
I suffered with insomnia for about a decade.
Now I sleep, but whenever there is a noise, I can wake suddenly.
Today I’m tired because I woke up yesterday at 2 a.m. with my furball throwing up.
Then I went back to bed.
But I also have an alarm that wakes me every day at 6 a.m.
I am a plastic bag delivery guy, so yeah.
Lol.
I need a day where I can wake up later.
I think what has worked best for me is giving myself a day to myself.
Do whatever the fuck you want for a day.
No schedule.
No pressure.
No mission.
I go to the movies.
I write.
I draw.
I listen to music.
Sometimes I’ll take a nap in the middle of the day.
Maybe that’s what sleep really is for me.
Not just rest.
Permission.
Permission to slow down.
