“I used to believe in it… now I don’t know”

Daily writing prompt
Do you vote in political elections?

I used to believe in it… now I don’t know

9 p.m.

I’ve been up since 3 in the morning.

My cat had me up.

Took him to the vet.

I’m tired.

And I’m looking at this question.

Do I vote?

I have before.

But something changed.

I don’t know if I believe in it the same way anymore.

Not because I think I know everything.

But because the older I get…

the more I question what I used to accept without thinking.

And that feeling isn’t just about politics.

It’s about everything.

What’s real?

What actually makes a difference?

What doesn’t?

I don’t have a clean answer.

Just questions now.
