Right now I live in a small garage/studio—one room where the bed, the “kitchen,” and everything else share the same space. The bathroom is the only separate room.
So my dream home starts simple:
A living room.
I know that sounds basic, but I want to be able to walk into a living room and think, damn… I have rooms. Not just a room and a bathroom.
After that, the dream is space—like 20-foot ceilings. Not because I want to be fancy, but because I’ve felt cluttered in my life for so long. A bigger, open space feels like breathing.
I’d want it minimal. Not empty—just intentional. Minimal furniture. Clean lines. And definitely not white walls. I hate white. I grew up with white everywhere. My dad wanted everything white. I need color—but still minimal.
Two floors would be ideal. I even like the idea of one upper floor being one big room—studio vibes—with a staircase that leads up. I used to imagine some kind of staircase you can move out of the way, like a ladder you can pull up and down.
I’d want a backyard too. A little garden. A place to sit.
Upstairs: a big bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom.
And yeah—eventually, a theater room.
But if I’m being honest, the aesthetic I love is industrial. Brick. Concrete. Metal. Warm lighting. Space that feels strong and simple.
Does it make sense?
It’s basically this: I want a home that feels like I can finally breathe.
Question: If your dream home could give you one feeling every day, what would it be—peace, space, safety, freedom, or something else?
