“I Don’t Know What This Is Becoming — I Just Keep Showing Up”

📓 Sunday, December 14, 2025 — 6:34 p.m.

Today started with waking up after a good night’s sleep.

I am glad to finally be sleeping.

Since my breakup with my then-girlfriend in 2016, my sleep went away.

Insomnia stepped in as my new girlfriend.

Not the girlfriend I would’ve chosen — but the one given.

I’ve been uncommonly relaxed these past months.

Today was more of the same.

I noticed that eating proportioned improved my sleep.

But the most important thing for me has been the inner peace —

that’s been slowly improving before the sleep did.

I always lacked self-confidence, self-reliance, and initiative.

But I was good at drawing.

It’s an odd combination.

I’ve been writing on WordPress for almost four months now,

and I’m surprised that I even write —

and that I’ve written over 57,000 words and 174 posts.

Why?

This is a question I’ve asked myself:

Why the fuck do you continue to do this?

I wake up and immediately feel the need to answer a prompt of the day,

then go off to my regular day of selling plastic bag cases

and any errands that I have to do.

Then I come home, do my daily writing,

and now I even schedule writings to come out during the week.

What the fuck?

Madness is sometimes hard to explain — even to myself.

But the simple answer is that I enjoy it.

I have the feeling — there’s that word again —

I have the feeling that writing on this platform,

out of all places, can become something.

What I don’t know — and nothing shows that it will —

but I continue to write.

Funny…

I never liked writing in my life.
