“Waiting on the Curb”

Daily writing prompt
Do you need time?

I think there’s never enough time.

Even when you’re young, you think there will always be more — but there won’t. The time you’re given is special because it gives importance to everything. Every second matters. Every moment matters.

Some people spend too much of it sitting on the curb, drinking a Corona, waiting for life to change. Waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

I want more time.

Do I need more time?

I think we all do.

But I’ll take whatever God gives me.
