What does it mean to be a good person?

Being a good person, to me, isn’t about accepting the label at face value.
Everyone perceives you differently.
So, if you believe you’re a good person, I think that’s fine.
Believe it.
Others might not necessarily agree with you.
And that’s okay, too.
As for me…
I try my best to be good.
What does that mean?
Actions speak louder than words.
But I think of it this way.
Your actions should be connected to what you believe is the best decision, even if others don’t agree.
And I’ve learned something along the way.
I’ve learned to tell my mother:
“Thank you, Mom, for the food you give me.
For the love you’ve given me.
And for trying your best.
Some people don’t even have someone like you.
And I wish they did.
Because you’re the best.
And to me…
You’re a good person.”
Enjoy your cup of coffee.
