📓 April 29, 2026 — 6:47 p.m.
I’m driving down Figueroa.
The light is soft today. Warm, not loud.
Palm trees on my right.
Electric posts on my left—repeating like they’ve been there forever.
And in the distance… mountains.
I forget they’re even there.
It’s strange how something that big can disappear
just because you stop looking.
⸻
I’ve been thinking about fear.
Not ignoring it.
Not letting it run everything either.
Just… letting it sit there.
Like it’s part of the drive, not the destination.
⸻
I’ve also been thinking about people.
How most of us move without really choosing.
We feel something… then become it.
I’ve done that too.
Still do sometimes.
But I’m starting to notice the gap—
that small space between feeling something
and deciding what to do with it.
That space feels like control.
⸻
Maybe life is simpler than I’ve been making it.
Ask a question.
Answer it honestly.
Try the answer.
If it works, keep it.
If it doesn’t, ask a better question.
⸻
That’s it.
No drama.
No overthinking.
Just… test and adjust.
⸻
The mountains are still there.
Whether I look at them or not.
