My brain when I’m supposed to be relaxing.
6:54 in the morning.
Los Angeles.
Coffee in my hand.
The question is:
What do you do to be involved in the community?
My first thought?
Nothing.
I’m busy.
Working.
Trying to move forward.
But then I thought about it again.
I drive all over L.A.
Selling plastic and paper bags.
And I talk to people.
Every day.
Korean.
Hispanic.
White.
Indian.
Different languages.
Different backgrounds.
Same conversations.
And sometimes…
I bring donuts.
Nothing big.
Just from Krispy Kreme.
Not for business.
Just because.
So maybe I’m not involved in the community the way people think.
But I’m in it.
Every day.
