My cat Simba spends hours looking out the window.

No rush.

No stress.

Just watching the world go by.

Sometimes I think animals understand something we forget:

not every moment needs to be chased.

Some moments are meant to be observed.

I guess sometimes animals can teach you something you wouldn’t expect:

be present.

Because the exact moment you are in right now

might be the most beautiful moment you’ll ever have.

Even the ugly can be beautiful.

Later, it makes you appreciate them — whoever them is for you.

And it makes you appreciate something else too:

that you’re a human on this massive ball we call Earth,

flying through the galaxy,

lit by a giant ball of fire we call the sun.

Simba doesn’t think about any of that.

He just enjoys the view.
