What I enjoy most in my leisure time is getting away from the noise.
Not life as in life itself — life as in the version I built that I don’t like. That noise.
Movies have always been an escape for me, but lately my biggest reset is NBA 2K26… not the full games — just practice mode. Fundamentals. One player. 20–30 minutes. Jab step, step back, crossover, dribble, shoot.
It’s weird, but it works.
Because for a little while I’m not thinking about bills, problems, or the way one decision causes a chain reaction. I’m not thinking about what I need to fix next.
I’m thinking: dribble left, dribble right, shoot the ball.
Simple.
And sometimes, simple is the only real rest.
Question: What’s your “dribble left, dribble right” — the simple thing that resets your mind?
