🧱 Narrative Log

Today was the first day back after being sick with that cough for a week. The cough is gone, but I could feel my body still weaker than usual. I didn’t want to be stupid and force intensity just because I “feel ready.” I wanted to listen to my body like a grown man, not like a 17-year-old with something to prove.

I followed my chart — leg day — and kept it slow and controlled.

I focused hard on mind–muscle connection during leg press:

pressing through the spot where the muscle feels strongest, feeling the burn, feeling the tension. And the more I dialed into that muscle, the more my heart rate climbed. My body was telling me, “Yo, this is enough for today.”

So I chose discipline over ego.

Instead of forcing 30 minutes just because the app was set for it, I stopped where I knew it was smart — 20 minutes. Heart rate was pumping. I got a pump. I sweat. I moved. And I didn’t overdo it.

The plan is simple:

Come back tomorrow. See how the body reacts. Add pressure only when I genuinely feel stronger — not when my pride says I “should.” That’s real discipline.
