What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?
Working out early in the morning.
I hate walking out into the cold — that alone makes me second-guess everything. But it’s also the only time I can go, so I force it.
What helps is keeping things quiet at first. I sit in the dark for about ten minutes, eyes closed but not asleep, just letting my mind settle. Then I drink a cup of coffee, feel the warmth kick in, and by the time that happens, I’m ready to move.
That’s usually enough to get me out the door — cold or not.
