The way I manage screen time for myself is, I guess — I don’t know — I guess you could call it waking up every day at 6 a.m., before the noise.
I make myself some coffee. Grind the beans. Let the smell fill the room.
Then I just sit in my chair with the lights off, eyes closed but not asleep — relaxing, breathing, smelling the aroma of Kenyan or Ethiopian coffee as it brews.
There’s no noise. There’s no body.
It’s just me — chilling in silence, in the dark — surrounded by the smell of roasted beans becoming coffee I’m about to drink.
