🎃 Archivo 253: True Fright

What’s a book or movie that genuinely scared you?

Kindle gray outside my window.

Feeling better today than on normal days.

I feel glad. Glad to be here.

Movies have been a constant presence throughout my life, from childhood to the present. Many films stand out, but one film gave me fright.

True fright.

Archivo 253.

A found-footage horror film set in Mexico, inside an abandoned psychiatric hospital. The film draws on a place that once existed but is no longer there.

My younger brother introduced me to it.

The movie creates an atmosphere where the building itself seems to come alive at night. And the longer you stay, the worse things get.

A crew of young people decides to spend a week inside, documenting the legend of a place supposedly haunted by former patients who died there.

I remember sitting with my brother, watching the movie with my Sonos surround sound.

Footsteps all around us.

Then a voice.

And BOOM!

Something moves in the darkness.

That shit was scary.

But cool, too. LOL.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

Enjoy your cup of coffee. ☕
