“Why Effort Inspires Me More Than Talent”

Daily writing prompt
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

I get inspired when I see someone simply do their best.

Maybe their situation isn’t great.

Maybe their job isn’t glamorous.

Maybe life isn’t treating them kindly.

But they still try — and that tells me everything I need to know about a person.

Effort reveals character.

It’s not about showing emotions.

It’s about taking your emotions, putting them aside, and saying:

“I expect myself to do this well.”

Some people wait for the boss to push them.

Some people wait for motivation.

Some people wait for perfect conditions.

The people I admire don’t wait.

They hold themselves accountable.

They do the job because doing it well means something to them.

But what do I know?

I’m just a plastic bag man.

I sell plastic bags.
